This is a work in progress for one of my favorite comic artists, of his character Jes (he's my favorite!).
We were supposed to do an art trade a while back, but after I got my kick-arse art from him, I fell of the face of the plant and never finished his Better late then never? Gah! FORGIVE ME! Scanners are so expensive...
*goes back to reading Skyen's comics* tehe!
<3
And don't worry... he'll get arms... and legs... if he's good lol
lol No worries ^_^ I just took it as you hated what I did to your beloved characters and I died of shame that very same night _._ ..........
Just kidding!!!! I didn't die lol!
I'm glad you like it so far. I've been working on it, and he now has his name in kick-booty lettering to the left. Poor guy still doesn't have arms though... I might use this to practice my new tablet and photoshop on too. Jes is colorful, if anything lol
P.S. Photoshop is confusing... Really really confusing lol
haha I replied in my own comment box. A++ for RememberArt!!!
And yes, I did it both times. Can I just say it was a hard day, and your comments made me happy, say I wrote back with fervor not knowing that I didn't hit the darn reply button!?!
Layers are basically just that. Imagine you have a transparent piece of paper that you draw on - that's a layer. Now, put one layer on top of the other, and the stuff you've painted on the top layer will be on top of whatever is underneath, but the rest of the layer will be transparent, so anything not covered by what you painted on the top layer will still be visible.
Also you can move and stretch and shift and pretty much do whatever you want with each layer without affecting any other layers.
It's very useful to, say, have your characters on one layer and your background on another, and have seperate layers for colours and shading and lighting and such, so you can edit each bit without having to change or erase the others.
Also: It is ALWAYS good to be alive. Better than to be dead, anyway, because when you're dead, you're nothing, and even misery is something, after all
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

I'm really liking how this is looking - that open sort of shirt and the pattern on it is looking really cool.
I'll look forward to see it if it gets finished
